TESDA and the Municipality Government of Banaybanay, Davao Oriental joined forces to prepare the over 10,000 workforce requirements needed for the construction of the eco-industrial park in the municipality.

TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” A. Mamondiong led the launching of the program dubbed as “TESDA-Banaybanay, Davao Oriental Kasanayan Para sa Kabuhayan at Kapayapaan Para sa Proposed Marina and Industrial Park” held at the  Banaybanay Municipal Covered Court last July 14, 2018.

During his speech, Sec. Mamondiong explained that the program aims to train workers in different trade areas particularly on courses in carpentry, masonry, tile setting, plumbing, pipe fitting and other construction-related qualifications.  He also committed on building a Skills Training Court with dormitories in the municipality to provide the trainees the necessary venue and equipment for their training.  

“We want to bring the service of TESDA right at the doorsteps of the people,” Mamondiong said.
