The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) through Secretary Joel Villanueva, received volumes of confiscated lumber from the Bureau of Customs (BoC), which be will used for the continuous production of armchairs for use of public schools. A total of 280,000 board feet of lauan lumber were turned over today at the PNoy Bayanihan Production Site at the TESDA Complex in Taguig City. BoC Commissioner Ruffy Biazon personally handed over to Sec Joel the turnover documents. A total of 9,800 armchairs will be produced from the confiscated lumbers.

"What I can see from the piles of lumber are happy students who will soon have chairs when they attend classes. We will tap our skilled workers to turn the confiscated logs into quality furniture to help erase the shortage of school chairs in the country... Sa paggamit ng mga silyang ito, makikita ng ating mga kabataan na nagiging bahagi ang pamahalaan sa pagpapanday ng kanilang mga pangarap...."
