A new Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed by TESDA and the Healthcare Information Management Outsourcing Association of the Philippines (HIMOAP) that will involve P16.275 million worth of scholarships that will pave the way for 1,550 individuals to train in healthcare information management or popularly known as medical transcription. Secretary Joel Villanueva led the ceremony and signed in behalf of TESDA while HIMOAP President Penny Lauchancao signed in behalf of the business processing management organization and witnessed by Mr. Jomari Mercado, President of IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).
