An Administrators’ Conference (AdCon 2016) was hosted by National Institute for Technical Education and Skills Development last February 15-18, 2016 – the first since 2013 – at TESDA’s sprawling complex in Taguig City.  The event gathered the administrators to give them a deeper appreciation of the directions and priority programs of the Agency.

Together again after two years, more than a 100 administrators of TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs) from all over the country strike a pose with top TESDA officials in front of the iconic TESDA Administration Building.
“The very essence of technical vocational education is in our TESDA Technology Institutions. However, if we are to continue improving our training programs, we need to strengthen our relationship with our industry partners who have largely remained untapped resources.” – Deputy Director General for TESD Operations, Atty. Teodoro C. Pascua, during in his opening remarks at the AdCon 2016.
“Share with us your visions and dreams of what you want TESDA Technology Institutions to be like in the future, no matter how idealistic or grand these images may be. We are well inside the 21st century and so we should be preparing graduates for 21st century jobs.” – Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning, Rosanna A. Urdaneta, welcomes the participants at AdCon 2016.
“We owe it to ourselves and the next generation of TESDA leaders not to sit on our laurels. We have to review our strengths and have a clear foresight of what is to come that impacts on TVET and what TVET can impact on,” – TESDA Director General, Secretary Irene M. Isaac, to the TTI administrators on the 3rd day of AdCon 2016 at the TESDA Green Technology Center.
