"The real evidence of success is the transformation in the lives of the TVET graduates -- because of the skills that gave them confidence to face the world of work, and the jobs that gave them reasons to dream for a better life.”

This was how TESDA Secretary Irene Isaac summarized the Agency’s report which was presented to President Benigno S. Aquino III and delivered in front of an audience of more than 3,000 who gathered last June 14 at the TESDA Complex in Taguig.

The  “Ulat ng TESDA kina Juan at Juana” report detailed how the Agency’s various programs have been providing Filipinos with quality TVET, and opening to them infinite opportunities for employment and livelihood.  The event was the highlight of the Trainees' Day celebration, which gathered industry partners, dignitaries, successful graduates and tech-voc trainees from Metro Manila. This included several skills demonstrations in mechatronics and instrumentation, heavy equipment operations (simulator), animation and barista, as well as free grooming and wellness services for the day.

In his message, the President expressed his thanks to TESDA for sharing and contributing to the realization of his vision of long-term national development and inclusive growth, and lauded the accomplishments of several exemplary tech-voc graduates.

Also present during the event were Senator-elect and former TESDA Secretary Joel Villanueva, DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, and Renjie Arcilla, a Councillor-elect of San Jose, Batangas and a successful tech-voc graduate.
