TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong and the Yamaha Motor Philippines, Incorporated (YMPH) President Toru Osugi led the inauguration and launching of the Motorcycle Training Center at the TESDA Women’s Center (TWC), Taguig City on March 8, 2017.

This after TESDA and YMPH forged a memorandum of agreement for the creation of the Motorcycle Training Center that aims to teach women and out-of-school youths on motorcycle and small engine servicing.

The MOA signing was witnessed by TESDA Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning Rosanna A. Urdaneta, TESDA NCR Regional Director Nenuca Tangonan and Center Chief Maria Clara B. Ignacio, as well as representatives of YMPH who later unveiled the marker for the Motorcycle Training Center.  The training laboratory was also blessed during the same event.

Mamondiong said that the project would later provide National Certificates II to trainees who would complete their training and pass the necessary assessments.

Under the agreement, YMPH would give motorcycles, tools and equipment which would be used by the trainees at the Motorcycle Training Center. The two groups will also assist the graduates of the motorcycle and small engine servicing training program to be hired as on-the-job trainees in Yamaha service centers.
