75 BANYAGA NAGSASANAY SA TESDA

Umabot sa pitumpu’t-limang (75) banyaga mula sa Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) ang nagsasanay ngayon sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) bilang bahagi ng programang Technology Training Programs for Trainers of Technical Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).

Ayon kay TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong, 45 sa mga ito ang nagsimula ng kanilang training noong July 3 at matatapos ito sa July 14 ng kasalukuyan taon habang ang nalalabing 30 ay magsisimula sa July 10 hanggang July 21.

Para sa unang batch, pag-aaralan ng mga banyaga ang mga kursong Network System and Technical Support; Engineering Drawing Using Pro-Engineering at Home Appliance Maintenance habang ang susunod na batch ay magsasanay naman sa kursong Fiber Optic Technology at Mobile Maintenance and Smart Phones.

Matatandaan na sinimulan ang naturang programa noong 2005 kung saan ay nagkaroon ng Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ang gobyerno ng KSA sa pamamagitan ng kanilang TVTC at TESDA ng Pilipinas.

Sinabi pa ni Mamondiong na umabot na sa 725 TVTC personnel ang nabigyan ng training at certification ng TESDA magmula ng simulan ang programa.

Ngayong taon ay magiging katuwang ng TESDA ang MFI Polytechnic Institute at ang Metals Industry Research Development Center (MIRDC) ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Samantala, kabilang naman sa mga dumalo sa naganap na opening ceremony noong July 3 sina Dir. Agustin Fudolig, Deputy Executive Director for Technical Service (MIRDC); Antonio Kosca, Executive Vice President & COO, MFI Polytechnic Institure; Dir. Germinia Aguilar-Usudan, Director, Gulf States, Office of Middle East and African Affairs (OMEA) at Mr. Saad Abdullah Aldosari, Attache, Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Naging kinatawan naman ng TESDA sa naturang seremonya sina Deputy Director General for Policies and Planning Rosanna Urdaneta; Elmer Talavera, Executive Director, NITESD; Alfonso Francisco, Supervising TESD Specialist at Ma. Veronica Sandoval, Chief Administrative Officer at iba pa.
