TESDA led by Secretary Joel Villanueva signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Garments Business Association of the Philippines (GBAP) headed by its President Margarita De la Rama, to ensure the presence of a pool of qualified, globally competitive and job-ready workforce for the industry. The agreement will enable the upgrading of skills of existing workers and for pre-employment training and retooling of incoming workers.

“We have not been able to fully exploit the promising growth prospects in the garment industry, which could make wonders if we will invest in the development of human resources….”

“Sa TESDA, may choice ka.” – SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA
