SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA distributed toolkits to the graduates of the TESDA Special Training for Employment Program or STEP and awarded Certificates of Commitment to the Local Government Units of Negros Occidental.

TESDA is providing 70 million worth of scholarship funds for the province. Before the program, Sec. Joel paid a courtesy call to Governor Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. In a press conference, the governor expressed his support to Sec Joel and to his initiatives in TESDA. He even advocated that tech-voc is the way to go as TESDA programs are “practical, inexpensive and sustainable.”

Delegations from local government units (LGUs) including Bacolod City Mayor Monico Puentevella and other Mayors of several towns in the province were present during the ceremonies.

- SECRETARY JOEL VILLANUEVA
