This glossary of terms intends to provide the TESDA key players, partners, and stakeholders an online and updated TVET information, concepts, to bring common understanding and clarification on the use of TESDA terminologies.

Licensing Agreement |
refers to an agreement executed between the owner, assignee, transferor, or duly authorized representative of the foregoing of intellectual property rights granting the license privileges, whether for a fixed period/duration or in perpetuity such as but not limited to the authority to exploit, make, use, sell, copy, display, distribute, and modify the works upon terms and conditions mutually agreed upon by the parties.

Life-Cycle Cost |
the total cost of an item throughout its life including initial, maintenance and support costs.

Lifeboat Job |
is one that is available, unlikely to go away, and pays enough to provide some shelter until the crisis is past.

Lifelong Learning |
refers to all learning activities whether formal, non-formal or informal, undertaken throughout life, which result in improving knowledge, know-how, skills, competencies and/or qualifications for personal, social and/or professional reasons

chance of something happening; defined based on historical data or frequency over a given period of time.

Literacy |
defined as the ability to read and write.

Literacy Training Service (LTS) |
is a program designed to train students to become teachers of literacy and numeracy skills to school children, out of school youth, and other segments of society in need of their service.

Live Feed |
refers to the broadcast of sound or video over the internet from a live (not recorded) source.

Live Streaming |
refers to the delivery of video and/or audio data to an audience over the Internet simultaneously recorded and broadcast it in real-time as the data is created.
