The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will give free assessment and certification to industry workers to inform them about the importance of Competency Assessment and Certification System (CACW) of the agency.

TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong also encouraged all industry workers who still have not undergone assessment and have no certification from the agency to avail of the CACW program.

Mamondiong said that the CACW program does not include graduating students or trainees of the TESDA registered programs. He also said that those who availed of the assessment in the past but failed to get certification are not qualified for free assessment.

Mamondiong said that the program will be launched with the theme “Basta Certified ng TESDA, Angat Ka” at the Tandang Sora Hall, TESDA Women’s Center, Taguig City on July 11.

The Regional Offices of TESDA will shoulder the expenses of those who will be included in the CACW program. They will also promote the qualifications needed in the Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

The CACW program aims to provide 51,900 free assessment slots until December 2017.  Among those included in the program are workers/industry practitioners/professional/ career shifters; prospective industry assessors; PWDs; public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers; trainers of private and public technical-vocational institutions (TVIs) and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

Applicants may get the application form and list of requirements ng mga requirements in all accredited Assessment Centers or nearest TESDA Provincial Office.  Download the Self-Assessment Guide (SAG) at http://goo.gl/sluc7c or visit the agency's website www.tesda.gov.ph/Self_ Assessment  for more information.

It is also stated under TESDA Circular number 31 series of 2017 orders all Regional Offices to choose the qualifications which fall under the CACW program based on the covered industry.
