A total of 125 rice farmers in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) have finished several agricultural courses provided by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Last January 12, TESDA CAR Regional Director Jeffrey Ian Dy personally graced the graduation ceremony for the farmer graduates under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund- Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP) scholarship program at the J& E Integrated farm in Brgy. San Quintin, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

The 125 farmer graduates have undergone four months of training in the qualification Production of High-Quality Inbreed Rice and Seeds, and Farm Mechanization in the different farm schools here namely Bayawon's farm, Jacob's farm, and J&E Integrated farm.

As RESP scholars, they received a P160 daily allowance, free training in farming skills, as well as entrepreneurship training and accident insurance.

The graduates also received PhilRice assistance such as seeds and other trainings.

Also present during the ceremony were Municipal Agriculture Officer Engr. Eugenio Culimay Jr., a representative from Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CAR, farm owners, and local government officials with significant contributions to the implementation of the training program.
