Ensuring that tech-voc graduates land jobs, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has tied up with an online recruitment platform with the aim of increasing the employability of tech-voc graduates.

Last March 20, TESDA – National Capital Region (NCR) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Bossjob as part of their region-wide signing activity dubbed “CollaboraTVET: Forging Partnerships for TVET Excellence!”.

In a statement, TESDA Director General, Secretary Suharto T. Mangudadatu, underscored the agency’s dedication to fostering strategic alliances, particularly with private industries and employers.

“Our primary objective is to ensure that our technical vocational education and training (TVET) programs are finely attuned to meet the evolving demands of these industries,” Secretary Mangudadatu said.

TESDA – NCR’s CollaboraTVET program seeks to partner up with other government agencies, academia, business groups, and various industries to advance and enhance TVET across the region.

Under the TESDA-Bossjob partnership, the parties aim to help tech-voc graduates secure better employment opportunities through the use of Boosjob’s online recruitment platform and career coaching workshops.

Specifically, the TESDA – NCR shall promote Bossjob’s platform among TESDA students and graduates, and help in organizing job fairs, recruitment events, and career workshops.

For its part, Bossjob shall provide TESDA graduates with free access to its platform for job searching and co-organize career coaching workshops and information sessions for TESDA students or graduates in sectors such as but not limited to technopreneurship and digital literacy among others.

“The partnership marks a significant step forward in aligning professional hiring practices with the evolving needs of the workforce, leveraging Bossjob’s innovative technology and TESDA’s comprehensive training programs to address the skills gap in the country’s workforce,” the TESDA chief said.

The partnership was signed by TESDA – NCR Regional Director Jovencio Ferrer, Jr. and Etos Adtech Coporation Country Manager Kimberly Chen at the National Training Center for Women (NTCW) in Taguig City.
