This glossary of terms intends to provide the TESDA key players, partners, and stakeholders an online and updated TVET information, concepts, to bring common understanding and clarification on the use of TESDA terminologies.



CONCEPT/TERM DEFINITION
Correction Action
refers to an action to eliminate the cause of a detected non-conformity.

Corrective Action
refers to an action(s) to eliminate the cause of a nonconformity and to prevent its recurrence. There can be more than one cause of nonconformity

Corrective Action Request Form
refers to the form used to initiate and report/record the correction/s and/or corrective action/s, including validation of effectiveness of action/s taken to address nonconformity from daily operations/audit conducted.

Corrective Maintenance
maintenance carried out to restore (including adjustment and repair) an item that has ceased to meet an acceptable condition.

Cost of Maintenance, Facilities, Equipment, and Tools
refers to the cost necessary to keep the facilities, equipment, and/or tools in good functional condition. It is computed by determining the imputed cost on the facilities, equipment, and tools utilization.

Cost of Tuition
refers to the fee allocated to pay utilities, supplies and materials, maintenance of facilities, equipment, and tools, honoraria and other cost of services that may be incurred in the duration of program.

Cost of Utilities
refers to the cost of the amount of water and electricity consumed during the training period.

Counterpart Funds
refer to the component of the project cost to be financed from government-appropriated funds, as part of the government’s commitment in the implementation of the project. In the case of government-owned and -controlled corporations, the total peso counterpart may be the equity contribution of the national government and/or internally generated cash.
