This glossary of terms intends to provide the TESDA key players, partners, and stakeholders an online and updated TVET information, concepts, to bring common understanding and clarification on the use of TESDA terminologies.



CONCEPT/TERM DEFINITION
Long Duration
programs with a duration of six (6) months and above.

Long Term Unemployed
refers to persons with continuous periods of unemployment extending for one year or longer (52 weeks and over); it is expressed as a percentage of the overall labor force (long term unemployment rate) and total unemployment (incidence of long-term unemployment).

Long Term Unemployment
refers to people who have been unemployed for 12 months or more.

Maintainability
a function of the rapidity and ease with which maintenance operations can be performed to help prevent malfunctions or to correct them if they occur.

Maintenance
work required to preserve or restore buildings and equipment to their original condition or to such a condition that they can be effectively used for their intended purpose.

Maintenance Personnel
refers to personnel who support the maintenance and operation of equipment and facilities of the school/centers.
